This barn and its paddocks sit on property listed on The National Register of Historic Places. The Roark-Griffith pottery kiln is still standing. Pottery was produced here from 1868 to 1904. I designed the barn to reflect that historic time period. We used reclaimed and salvage materials almost exclusively. What materials had to be new, we made to look old. There are 5 stalls, tack room, exterior wash rack, and studio/guest space above with large deck. The innovative round pen has posts set at an angle to save rider's knees and utilizes a small drain in the center to remove rain water without losing the footing.
